“Stop that! It hurts!!”
Faramir shook his head but continued.
“By the Valar, how could you?! I thought you loved me!”
Faramir knew he was only making Haldir madder, but he couldn’t help it. He couldn’t stop just because Haldir told him to.
“I have always said you were the most compassionate man I had ever known… well, thank you for proving me wrong!”
“Haldir…”
“No. Too late. Your words mean nothing to me.” Haldir stopped hopping around and sat down, turning his back on his husband.
After a moment, Faramir finally stopped laughing and went to soothe Haldir’s feelings…and his stubbed toe.
