Waves of Dol Amroth (G) External Link

Illustration for “Waves of Dol Amroth I & II”. The phenomenon shown actually exists—it’s the result of a red tide with bioluminescent phytoplankton, and it’s really spectacular-looking at night. To my knowledge, it is more common away from the coasts, but I haven’t personally seen it there. The background for the artwork is a photo (not taken by me) of a red tide at night from when that happened around here a few years ago, which I messed with a bit in Photoshop.
