Raven- Thank you! Your comment on the medieval pace of the dialogue especially was wonderful to read; probably anyone who’s well versed in medieval speech would be aghast at my attempts but I do try, and I make no claims about accuracy, but if it worked for you then I’m really happy! (At least it made sense?!) And though I’m not 100% sure if Faramir’s freckles are a real occurrence or something I’ve cooked up in my mind I still sneak them into many of my stories, because it’s one thing I simply can’t resist ;) I’ve this thing at the moment in a lot of my stories (published and unpublished) where Aragorn is the doubter, unsure, and Faramir leads him toward happiness or security. I’m not sure why, but the theme of the uncertain King is something I find really fun to explore :) Thank you again for your wonderful comment, I’m so glad you enjoyed the story!

Trixie: I would very much like to see that scene too! I’ve seen a screencap online, but the fact that they don’t share a scene other than the coronation (and that doesn’t count of course; they don’t look at each other longingly or anything!) makes me a little sad :P I suppose that’s what imagination is for ;) Thank you so much for taking the time to comment; I did enjoy doing a less angsty story as well, though there are many half-finished ideas sitting in my harddrive that plough into the shadowy depths of despair…but another time, indeed! I really wanted to write a nice long, um, love scene, haha, but I wanted to make it more than a PWP, and so I’m really glad the setting and descriptions worked for you because I really had fun describing everything. All in all, I’m happy how the story ended up, although with everything I write I go back and see all the mistakes but that just drives me to improve next time! But to hear that you’ve enjoyed it as well brings a smile to my face; I’m really happy you enjoyed it, and thank you! :)

I am quite sure that I could write a review for each of your stories as long as or longer that the stories themselves. There is always so much that I would love to comment on! Real life has been so demanding, however, that I am lucky to string two coherent sentences together.Ugh.

The characterizations are wonderful as always. Even with the more formal language, you still convey intimacy. Your description of Aragorn’s rooms also adds to the feel. You beautifully describe enough to set the stage, but not detract from the characters.

I rather enjoyed a slightly less angsty tale this time :) And I loved Faramir’s “I like to aim high” line – I needed a chuckle.

And finally, I want to see the scene of Aragorn healing Faramir that was shot for the films!!

I fail to comprehend how you manage to create such a warm and comforting atmosphere. The dialogues never loose their measured, “medieval” pace
– which I guess is also a very important aspect of the book. The character drawing is wonderful as usual; I love the way you bring out features that wouldn´t be that obvious at first sight although they´re an inherent part of their personalities (Faramir´s confidence and the way he has with people and Aragorn´s doubt and his ability to allows himself to be led by someone he trusts). This is an incredibly beautiful flower and I enjoyed reading it so much. Thank you!

Speaking of beautiful flowers: Film Faramir and his sunburnt skin. The image of him taking a swim in the river Andúin. Freckles… (these intrigued me most. I firmly hold the believe that he must have freckles even though I never managed to detect them by now). That alone should be enough to get an NC-17 rating. Oh boy… :P

Oh, thank you, thank you! Such sweet words, and to hear it almost moved you to tears is so endlessly flattering, thank you again! I worked slowly on this piece; I got myself delightfully tangled with the language and really enjoyed writing it, and to see that you have enjoyed it so much is a wonderful feeling indeed. Thank you so much for your kind words!

This is the most beautiful story I’ve read in some time. The choice of words and the tenderness between the two had me almost in tears. Thank you so much for making my day a bit brighter.
