Wow, this was absolutely beautiful- you’ve got an absolutely gorgeous writing style and turn of phrase. I’m completely in love with the descriptive quality of your writing! My favourite line I think was “Maidservants giggling into their aprons and whirling away like birds when she approached.” Such an effective and gorgeous use of phrase :)
And the story itself, so sad but so very well written. The realistic reaction to such events, it’s very refreshing to see it explored as well, and to see the severe side of Faramir is very interesting, and you’ve captured both he and Eowyn perfectly in this different light. Beautiful :)

I can’t say how it happened but in my opinion in the last part of your story you managed to show Faramir in such a way that he was in reality – hard and severe.
The words: “So I will tell you one more tale, not whispered in corners, but told plainly, I loved Boromir, loved him far more than I ever loved you.” are very strong words, very cruel words, but they are also deserved.
Truly, what a fool Eowyn was! But nevertheless I would like her to redeem her fault.
