Thanks ever so much, Susana R. In Ithilien, Faramir states that there is no hope… but I know he would not have entirely lost it. Glad you enjoyed both moments of ‘hope’ for the dear man!

Yes, you have probably read it before, though not here. I’ve recently revised it and decided to share it here. Very pleased that you remember it. Bless you!

Oh, I love the legend of Mithrellas and the possibility of Elven blood in the line of Dol Amroth!

I have read this story before, haven’t I? I have read thousands of fanfics over the years, but I’m sure this is one that made a lasting impression. Lovely to revisit :)

Very much enjoyed this story. Quite hauntingly lovely, with a message of hope beyond hope at the end.

lille mermeid and Kelly – thanks so much for your comments! Indeed, Faramir, even as a boy, was most brilliant. Glad you liked this short tale.

Simply wonderful. This was an unexpected and different tale that I enjoyed very much. New charactes can be so much fun. Besides it is quite obvious why she picked Faramir. His character is without equal. Who wouldnt choose him above all others for any reason. Yes I am biased. hee hee

I like your story.
Little Faramir was brave and merciful even as a small boy.
