Iris- Thank you, and I’m ever so sorry to have caused you to doubt your loyalties to the raven-haired Faramir of the books for a moment or two, though I can’t help but smile a little in glee to think my writing was so persuasive :P As for me I honestly can’t conceive of a situation where I’d be able to resist a more coppery version of events! Anyway, I hope to have some more work published (or at least, written) in the near future, though I guess I might have to email them in as I’ll be moving back to an area where my internet will be in a word, crap.

Raven- Haha, well I’m afraid all equestrian knowledge was made up on the spot, and any puns equally spur-of-the-moment (er, pun not intended.) But I thank you for your compliment, and also must concur that the cosy, amiably teasing atmosphere is one I clearly like seeing as I return to it to many times when I write. It’s possibly the main factor in my writers’ block because while I really want to write a really long story and so forth I’m also too impatient to get to the bedroom bits so never get anywhere. I was going to participate in NaNoWriMo this month (well, as of tomorrow) because you’re allowed to write fanfic and I have a few long works-in-progress that could be worked into one long story (at the moment they all total 80k of absolute drivel) but I kind of don’t want to, haha! I do have a non-fic story idea that I’m toying with but I guess my general lethargy will conquer all as per!

As for an image…well, there really wasn’t a picture that inspired me in the first place (I guess the idea just popped into my head from wherever) but I made this screencap a while ago (amongst others, I shouldn’t be allowed to possess that film I swear) and never used it for anything and I think it serves quite nicely as at least a visual starting point even though it’s not really related to the story other than being a certain someone’s feet :P

I was up in NSW briefly last week (erm, for like four hours total, for dinner, as you do) but I was well out of harm’s way and thankfully there have been no reports of fires down in VIC as far as I know. Here’s to the Christmas period in Melbourne! I hope you are well also! :)

Oh noes oh noes oh noes! Where have I been? What have I done? How come I missed this? Quick, where are my reading glasses???

(puts them on)

“Woe was a boy named Faramir…” I can perfectly hear him saying that. You know who I mean… And I still haven´t decided yet what I adore most: Is it your knowledge regarding copper-crowned (a term like melting honey…sighs) horses and the art of riding them? – A topic you absolutely did NOT use to insert any sort of questionable pun. Because you´re a DECENT person. HURR HURR HURR. >:)

Or perhaps it is the fact that you brought in a sensual pleasure not too often used and clearly underrated: foot massage!!!! What an enchanting pastime… May the humble reader ask timidly whether there was an inspiration for the description of our beloved steward´s feet? A picture maybe, a photograph? Anf if yes… may said reader ask even more timidly which one it was and whether she (the reader) is allowed to have a look at it? For, err, literary, err, education, you know. It´s so much more pleasant to read a story when you know the author´s creative sources… (enhanced saliva dripping)

But all in all I think it´s the cosy atmosphere, the gentle teasing and and the feather-light, humorous writing. I´ve just realized how much I missed those two in that laid-back, playful state. Having them back is like cuddling under a soft, fluffy blanket that offers shelter from the autumnal cold… (rustle) Thanks, dear Eora, for offering a hottie when there´s a need for it!

Commenter´s note: And wherever you are, I hope you are far away from any catastophes and as safe as possible. May your shadow never shorten! Travel safe!

Now, of course I normally don’t approve of a ginger Faramir… but you make him damn irresistible!

Thanks a lot for sharing! You’re not the only one who’s been away from the archive for a bit (as evident from the astonishing lack of comments so far) so thank you very much for giving us all a reason to come back!
