Wow, I guess it goes without saying that I’m totally loving this – even though it’s not really my pairing:) And the best of it was, that between all the rough vamp on vamp action you managed to smuggle in quite a bit of backstory and information that turns this pwp into the exposition of a full-blown alternate universe. And that’s so intriguing!

And I’m really glad you subjected yourself to so much vampire fiction lately – if this is the result!

Trixie, yes, I am of the same opinion. They already have their orcs and balrogs and whatever other creatures that have individual traits etc. So why should their vampires be similar to those in other stories? I like it that we agree. Then we shall be happy ;)

I very much like the idea of Middle-earth having its own version of ‘vampires’. It is a different reality with its own species, creatures, etc. Makes sense that their version wouldn’t be exactly the same as ours.

Ah lovely. Bloody is very good. And I shall wait, yes impatiently as is my nature, for that story. I’m very glad you stop by to read my mind occasionally. I’m happy to share it with you, especially when stories like this one are the result. I’m off to read your new update on the Mist story.

Oh, sweetheart, there are many things you don’t know about me! ;) Yet. I do love this wild, dark, bloody stuff… Not gory, but steeped in blood all the same.
Now let me see… No, I didn’t use the word ‘vampire’, and neither ‘fangs’ beacuse although it’s AU, it’s still Middle-earth and still set in that universe. This fic was never meant to be scary and you know I’ve never written horror. It began, as all always, with an image in my mind (I wish, wish, wish, wish I could paint!) that expanded into a story. This is just a tiny part of the life that this Faramir and this Aragorn share, you know. And it’s not very scary – it just is. Like this.
Someday there will be more of this as I’ve got more images. The vampire thing will be more Middle-earthy, though, and less proper vampire canon. But I think it will be pretty… bloody ;)

No need to worry, and no need to be anxious; the story has something in it and is a good piece of work. But, I must say, I have never known that side of you, dear Geale. A wild and decadent one. And although you never once used a word “vampire” in the fic, you mastered the art of suggestion.

I am no way an expert in the topic, but about two years ago I had a mania and I read almost everything avialable of the vampire books. I recommend Anne Rice books. She’s best! And it is almost impossible to reach her level. She creates stories of almost horror atmosphere, but builds the sentences between the main scenes in so elegant style it is almost unfitting. You must read a bit before you begin to understand it. But I see similarity in your fic in the forst part, when Faramir meets Eowyn in a corridor. That moment I liked much. I must say your fic wasn’t scary, but I doubt it was your aim. But you might want to raise the level of “scaring” the reader somewhere in the future, if you intend to write more of that topic, and I encourage you greatly to do so! For you see, in a vampire fics it sounds good.

You created the unusual, dark and difficult side of Tolkien characters. It seemed unfitting, but you managed not to cross the border. It is always difficult with that type of fics, not to make the whole thing a teenage-emo-veiled-in-mystery-vampire-verrrrry-scary-fic. There is nothing in this world annoying me so much as that, I must say… maybe because of the sentiment to seductively evil vampire Lestat.

You intrigued me. carry on. I know you would never ever need help in writing a fic, the idea seems funny in itself, but if you ever have doubts or questions as for vampires themselves, ask me. I will give you the answes you need. For example, how vampires do that thing in all avialable literature.

Trixie, always ignore my warnings! ;) I don’t mean to scare you off. I’m indeed warming to this AU concept. I’m having a really hard time letting both ‘Courier’ and this story go. And I have a million questions myself about this universe. Perhaps I can persuade the boys to tell me some more – if they can forget about their bloodlust for a while…

Well, I read it in spite of all of the warnings. I’m so glad I did! In spite of the dark nature of the story, the bond between them shone through. As always, the mood and setting are beautifully woven. Just as I was when you wrote an AU in The Courier, I feel I am left with a million questions about this universe! Maybe I’m just intrigued by an edgier Faramir ;)

OMG! Just when I think you can’t impress me more, you go and do it again!!!! I love this so much! I also like the darker relationship. There is alot of openings here for other stories too. I would so love to see a story about the turning of both Aragorn and Faramir and thereafter. Even a continuation of this one would be great also (HINT HINT). Thank you for another great story. Sometimes I swear you give me exactly what I want without me ever asking for it.

I’ve never read a vampire LOTR story before and was very impressed with yours. I loved the darker relationship between Faramir and Aragorn and wish there was another story that showed us Faramir after he was turned and how Aragorn become a vampire. Thanks for the very enjoyable story.
