Aragorn practices his healing skills on Faramir while attempting to find out what happened to him before Aragorn and Boromir returned; Boromir gets frustrated with paperwork but has a handy elf to take it out on. Follows Hands of a King.

Thranduil arrives unexpectedly, Arwen solves everybody’s problems before dinner, Eomer is looking for his elf, hobbits are unhappy, Boromir is annoyed, and apparently Gandalf has shown up with some plans for Legolas and Faramir that perhaps he should have asked them about first.

Aragorn and the rest of the party arrive in Minas Tirith to find the Steward dead and Faramir gravely injured. Written to satisfy a request from a friend for some Aragorn/Faramir hurt/comfort, and part of the ‘Testing’ AU which you can find in my LiveJournal if you care to read what comes before this.

Eomer is the only one Faramir can trust when a price must be paid.

With Boromir and the hobbits missing, an attempt on Arwen’s life that endangers Legolas instead, and an army gathering at Gondor’s southern borders, Faramir’s unique abilities are called upon to help defend Gondor even while those he loves most are in grave danger.

Legolas has been conspiring with Merry and Pippin to convince Faramir to take an afternoon to relax.

Faramir finds himself unwillingly babysitting his brother’s puppy when he would rather be doing… other things. Elves, as usual, are good for nothing but trouble. Certain hobbits prove once again that they are NOT helpful. EVER. Boromir is going to be cold and wet and VERY ill-tempered when he gets home…

Boromir has learned to be more tolerant of certain elves. That does not mean he’s going to tolerate certain elves behaving inappropriately with his brother. Well, okay, maybe he IS going to tolerate it… but he’s not going to like it.

Faramir could really use some company, don’t you think? And there are so many intriguing possibilities…

The King and his Steward are in foul moods; Legolas has plans to be “helpful”; Faramir should know better, and Arwen does.

Faramir returns home on a cold Yule evening to find some strange things being said (and done) in his room
