Celeborn has fled Lothlórien following the events of a former lover’s death in strange circumstances. Disoriented, helpless and lost, he stumbles into a hamlet on the periphery of Rohan. Chance brings him to Faramir, who is on a hunting trip in the country.

Faramir is on the road to convalescence. The War of the Ring is over, the King returns to Gondor and Minas Tirith is the arena for the revelries of the Free Peoples of Middle Earth. Faramir gets the chance to meet Elrohir, son of Lord Elrond. Second sons both, with a love for lore and healing, one thing leads to another during a fine afternoon conversation. 1st person narrative from Faramir’s perspective.

The White Wizard has arrived in Gondor. Beregond befriends Peregrin Took, the Wizard’s companion. Together they watch terrified as Faramir leads the retreat from Osgilliath. In his fear, Beregond speaks more than he intends to and gives away his deepest secret; the love that he bears Faramir. That night, a despairing Faramir comes to him and Beregond gives his all to renew hope in his beloved lord. A 1st person narrative from Beregond’s perspective. Not exactly fluff, but I still hope that the recipient likes it.
