As always, I love your writing! I am more than curious to know what it was that kept them apart for so long after their first, er, night in. Was it only duty and/or the notion of I-can’t-very-well-bed-the-King/Steward-can-I-? There’s no mention of any wives here which makes me wonder if they are even in the picture, but maybe not since I think Aragorn would not ask Faramir to stay with him forever if Éowyn sat waiting by the hearth in Ithilien… Or would he? Because I think (also) that he’s passionate like that. Ooohh yess. And very much in love with Faramir, obviously. (Who wouldn’t be?)
And you had me chuckling with these lines: “If anyone is permitted to remain in this city, it is you, Faramir. You were born here, I…merely usurped various things.”

Ooohh! This is so lovely, so beautifully written. I love the way you write these two. and I really like the entire tone of this fic, right from the misty bath to the slight drunkeness, it just brings out so perfectly their sadness and acceptance and happiness.
